2 Down- Probably Months to Go

Yesterday was a day! Let me tell you.

2 hour long pre op appointments for Malia back-to-back. The Anesthesia team and the Surgical Team. Let me tell you, if you ever want to be bored out of your mind and terrified simultaneously, these would be the appointments for you.

Besides hearing every detail and asking questions that your hand is too slow to write the answer down, it was nice to feel the support from the hospital and each team involved. Never once did they steer away from how they can help and best support Malia day of. I am very grateful for all the Seattle Childrens Hospital has done and continues to do for not us as a family but for Malia as a patient.

DON’T TELL MALIA, BUT I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR HER: WE HAVE REQUESTED (WITH A STRONG POSSIBILITY) THAT JENNIFER WILL BE ABLE TO COME DOWN AND WALK HER THROUGH THE PROCEDURE THE MORNING OF. IF YOU DON’T KNOW, JENNIFER IS THE GREATEST CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST AT ANY HOSPITAL EVER.
