Never a dull day around here.

Phew! Is it time for a vacation yet? because I sure could use one, we all could :)

Nakaia had an all day field trip today at WSU. She gets to learn about behaviors, communities and kindness. She was selected to go because of a group called Dream Dream at her school. She was secretly nominated by her classmates and teachers to be apart of the group this year. We’re so proud of all the amazing things she does and continually impresses us with her kindness and empathy.

Malia on the other hand, came to me saying ‘ I’m just feeling weird because I have all these pimples behind my ear’ … (huh? pimples? behind your ear? I knew nothing about this). I checked things out and indeed a rash, a rash all over her back, her chest and behind her ears- not pimples. With no fever and no itching, off to school she goes. We’ve missed too much with all the doctors appointments to have yet another day missed. I also know all too well that the school nurse will not hesitate to call me with concerns during the day. One look at Malia’s adorable face and I cant blame her, you get sucked in. :)

Fast forward to 3:00PM. The call came. The nurse from the school letting me know Malia was down there with a worsening rash that now also itched- still no fever.

Nick is now with both girls sitting in the Urgent care waiting to be seen.

Oh ya, and our dog got onto the counter today while we were out and ate an entire cake. The cake Nakaia baked last night.

Just an update for those wondering~ The rash was nothing. Viral or Malia touching something that irritated her skin.
